News from the February Meeting

First off, a big thanks to Charles Rich from Adobe for the presentation at our February meeting! We had an excellent crowd and many newcomers!

Directly following the presentation, we conducted a short business meeting. The following was discussed:

• Present group manager, Sue Tedford, will resign from AAUG leadership role effective March 31.
• We've had two offers to take over leadership; one leader available for evening meetings and one to continue with Friday afternoon meetings. The consensus of the group was to continue meeting on the second Friday of each month at DARS.
• Michael Moore from DARS will assume AAUG leadership duties as of April 1, 2007.
• Sue and Michael with start making the transition of leadership duties during March.
• Directly following the general meeting, the leaders, webmaster will meet to discuss the upcoming leadership transition.
• Government workers remember the Training Expo will be held Feb. 15th at the JJ Pickles Center. This is a free event. For more info, see: http://www.utexas.edu/lbj/profdev/gcmd/expo2007.php.

We have a full month planned in March with two meetings; one Connect meeting and one live meeting. Here goes:

• The March Connect meeting will be held March 16 at 2-3pm. Info on how to connect is forthcoming. TOPIC - Captivate One lucky person will walk away from the meeting with a free copy of Captivate.
• The March live meeting will be held March 27 (time and place is still to be determined) I'll let you know time ASAP. TOPIC - Out with the Old and In with the New (and this DOES NOT mean Sue is old!)
