Meetings are held monthly at The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), 4800 North Lamar & Sunshine (that's between Guadalupe & 45th). 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. See ammug.nhive.com for driving instructions how to get there OR see map at: http://www.dars.state.tx.us/contact/visitor.shtml Please park in the state garage. Enter at the front entrance of building which faces Sunshine Drive and corner of North Lamar. You will need to check in with the security guard.

Agenda: 1. How to Setup a Blog, Kendall@webpubs.us, 2. Ora Chisom WON the Flash Training DVD and will do a short demo. 3. Contest: Solve the Mailing List Problem (see details following this message.)

CONTEST - MAIL LIST CHALLENGE:

Each member has until April 14, 2006 to come up with a solution to our automated mail list problem. The winner will select the Adobe software bundle>>http://www.adobe.com/products/main.html of their choice FREE OF CHARGE.

The problem - Our current mail list on nhive.com is set up with all members' e-mail. It has the capability for the public to subscribe or unsubscribe to the list. Any person on the list can send an e-mail to the list as well. E-mail sent by others must go thru mail coordinator for approval before it goes to list. Currently, when a subscribed member sends an e-mail to the list, only a few will receive e-mail.

We need a reliable and dependable self-service mail list which will work with the same features as above. You may choose to "fix" the current e-mail list on nhive.com or come up with another solution.

As a contestant, you will be responsible to:

• Present your idea to the user group at the April meeting (5 min. max.)
• Provide a written description of your solution and provide copies for each attendee at the April meeting.

April meeting attendees as well as other list members will be asked to test all solutions during April 17-21 and submit their vote for the winning solution no later than Monday, April 24, 2006. All contestants will be notified by Tuesday, April 25, 2006 of the winning entry.
